The Three Motion website gives you 5 reasons why animation in your advertising will help you:
- Grab attention
- Keep audiences engaged
- Communicate quickly and concisely
- Gain understanding
- Make a lasting impression.
Inexpensive animated website ad production
If you are on a tight budget, it does not take a great deal of money to produce engaging animated GIFs. Go to this “how to create animated GIFs” web page. You will see how to make animated GIFs such as this one.
What it mainly takes is lots of practice.
Make sure you include a CTA (call to action). The CTA in the first website ad you see here is the “Click here” text.
How to insert your ad
Go to the WordPress Ad post. It will show you how to use a WordPress plugin called Ad Inserter. Just remember to change the image in the temporary page.
You will have made an animated GIF with a CTA included. Insert that instead of the still image. WordPress allows you to add an animated GIF using the Add Media button. The methodology is the same as with a static image.
Don’t overdue it
Too much of a good thing is bad. When you first open this page, there are three animated GIFs.
Using one animated GIF in a website ad is fine. But, three at once may be a bit much.
It works here because I am teaching about animated website advertising. However, ordinarily, I would not do that.
- Blog author’s name & picture in column single post
- Blog author’s name & picture in column every post
- Still web ad in RH column
