Social media & inappropriate image cropping
I once uploaded this image to Twitter. They cut the top and the bottom off the image.
I found out that, to avoid cropping, a Twitter image must be twice as wide as it is high. So, all of my Tweets have an image exactly twice as long as it is high. All Twitter images I upload are 600 x 300 pixels. (Go to thisblog post to see how to make images that size.)
