What to do if your PVR stops recording
I’m a Telus cable subscriber. As such I’ve been able to record TV programs with an application called PVR.
The PVR suddenly stopped recording. I deleted lots of old recordings and that did not help.
I went to the Telus website and could not find anything about not being able to record. However, I did find something about someone having a different type of problem with their PVR.
They took their Telus remote and pressed Menu. Then, one the TV screen they clicked on Settings > Start Digital Box. They waited a while and pressed the PVR button on their remote. That solved their problem.
I used the same procedure and it solved our problem.
Now all we do if want to successfully record something is:
- Press Guide on the remote.
- Scroll down to a program we wish to record.
- Press the red button with Rec on it. If we want to be recorded every week, we press the red button twice. If we no longer want to record a program, we press that red button 3 times.
